Egypt Travel Tips For Everyone!

When you think of Egypt, you will be looking at a beautiful land that will welcome you. Your travels through Egypt can be quite wonderful, but as when you visit any foreign country, you’ll find that there is information that can make your traveling a great deal easier. When considering Egypt travel tips, you’ll find that there is a great deal that you can learn. Make sure that you keep a few things in mind and you’ll find that you have a great time.

1.Wear cool flowing layers
If you are going to be checking out Egypt travel tips, you’ll find that one of the most basic things that you can do is think about what to pack. Make sure that you wear long flowing layers with no synthetics. Covering your head will keep the moisture in and the sun out, which can be very valuable in the hot Egyptian sun.

2.Sturdy shoes
You should be aware that you will be doing a lot of walking. While you can get lifts almost anywhere, many of the attractions that you want to see will involve a great deal of wandering on foot. Pack shoes that you will be comfortable walking in, and keep in mind that a lot of ancient paving is quite uneven!

3.Coming in
When you fly into Egypt, you might notice that you are not in the city that you would want to be! You’ll find, however, that all of the Egyptian airlines have a taxi service to the city centers for a flat fee. When you get to Cairo, you’ll have your choice of bus, taxi, or, if you are feeling extravagant, limousine.

4.Getting a taxi in Cairo
When you are considering getting a taxi in Cairo, remember that you are looking for black and white cars, which you can hail by pointing at through the crowd. As the driver slows down, yell out the name of your destination, and if he can take you there, he’ll stop. Don’t discuss the price until the ride is over, but if he insists, name your price and stick with it.

5.Adult material
If you own anything that is of an especially explicit sexual nature, make sure that you leave it at home. You will find that such material is contraband in Egypt and that possessing it can get you fined and have the material confiscated. Better safe than sorry, so make sure that you leave any explicit magazines, photos or movies at home.

6.Think about segregated lines
The further you go from the urban centers, the more you might notice that many things are segregated by sex. One important tip for Egypt travel is to keep an eye out for lines that are split between men and women. Similarly, make sure that you use the metro cars; the first car is usually reserved for women.

7.Buy locally!
If you have access to a small kitchen or if you are simply looking for a snack as you wander the town, you will find that you can eat wonderfully cheaply simply by buying at the local fruits and vegetables stands. The prices are set, so simply let the local merchants know how much you want. This is a great way to be adventurous about your food.

8.Get used to the desert heat
Another important Egypt travel tip involves how to survive the heat if you go out into the desert. Remember that you should take the time to get used to the heat, so take it very easy until you know how well you react to it. Move slowly and don’t take on mre than you think you can handle.

9.Drink more than you think you need to
Remember that when you are traveling in the desert that you need to make sure that you are going to have access to clean water. You will be surprised how fast you will lose the water, so drink a lot. Take slow sips to make sure that you don’t get sick, but make sure that you get all of the water in you that is called for!

10.Ask lots of questions
Remember that you came to experience a new culture, so make sure that you learn everything that you can!

I knew this trip was going to be amazing but my expectations were far far exceeded. Words cannot do justice to how awesome, brilliant and stunningly beautiful this tour was. We did not have to lift a finger and our accommodations were so beautiful we never wanted to leave any of them. Each day was fantastic – but every day surpassed the last. I mean, how can you improve on perfection!!! We experienced not just the magnificent pyramids, temples and places that everyone knows, but we were given a personal invitation into the heart and soul of this magnificent culture and its people. How can you go to a country on the other side on the Earth and feel so at home in every sense. We were honoured and welcomed by so many beautiful people that took care of us. The only problem was when we were asked what our favourite experience was we couldn’t decide as there were too many!!!

This is so much more than a tour of Egypt – you can get that anywhere – this is a life long love affair that has just began. I will return again and again, and I will only ever go to Egypt with this tour. Nothing else compares.

There is no place I have been to on the planet that feels as alive as Egypt. The culture, traditions, people and landscape persists in these times of change and their stunning monuments are brilliant reminders of a time gone by. This trip gave me tremendous insights into the people, their culture and traditions; immersed me in its natural wonders and took me inside the most treasured and sacred monuments on the planet. The incomparable personalised guidance gave me the opportunity to absorb this wondrous place and this I have not experienced in all my life's travels.
